Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning takes pride in sending NATE-Certified technicians into customers’ homes throughout North America every day. While this distinction of being Nate-Certified surely sounds reassuring, what does it actually mean?
NATE, an abbreviation for North American Technician Excellence, is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. NATE is the certification organization that was established by and has been supported by the entire HVACR industry for close to 20 years. Although, not all technicians in the field are required to be NATE-Certified. The certification is discretionary and technicians can service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment without being NATE-Certified.
It’s important to Service Experts that our team is NATE-Certified to make sure we are sending the most qualified technicians into our customers’ homes. To make sure technicians meet these qualifications, the NATE-Certification exams confirm real-world working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems for technicians. The assessments are knowledge-based exams that measure the technician’s understanding of these standards.
Considering Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning focuses mainly on the HVAC side of NATE-Certification, our technicians attain their designations in these areas. However, NATE assessment candidates may earn certification in any of these areas:
- Air Conditioning
- Air Distribution
- Gas Heating
- Oil Heating
- Heat Pumps
- Hydronic Gas (service only)
- Hydronics Oil (service only)
- Light Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
- Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
- Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer
- Senior HVAC Efficiency Analyst
