Painting Vans Pink in the Fight Against Breast Cancer Published on September 27, 2016 This October, two of our Service Experts centers will be making a statement with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are both going to paint two of their work vans pink for the fight cure breast cancer. During the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be contributing 20% of all sales from their pink vans to Summit-based Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help end breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be giving 5% of all sales from their pink vans and also donate $10 for every heating tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast. This is the second year Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted two of their vans pink to raise money for breast cancer. In 2015, Fras-Air was able to raise over $7,000 for Komen North Jersey. David Schneider, General Manager of Fras-Air, and one of his workers both lost their mothers to alternative forms of cancer and were motivated to help other families. “The National Cancer Institute says that 107,184 women in New Jersey faced breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider stated. “While the quantity of cases is actually going down each year, that still leaves a significant number of families who are grappling with this disease, and therefore we have an immediate need for research and support.” The General Manager of Service Experts of Raleigh, Chris Overton, seconded Schneider’s feelings. “As reported by the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the number one type of cancer in North Carolina – for both females and males.” To learn more about Susan G.
